Cloud Drive Player for Windows ("we," "our," or "the app") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information when you use our Windows desktop application.
Information We Collect
Data Stored Locally on Your Device
Cloud Drive Player stores the following information locally on your device only:
- Media Library Metadata
- File names, artist names, album names, track titles
- File paths within your cloud storage
- Play counts, last played timestamps
- Favorite status and playlist membership
- Playback State
- Current queue and playback position
- Playback speed and repeat/shuffle settings
- Cache of recently played tracks
- App Settings
- Selected cloud provider
- Music folder selections
- Cache size preferences
- Offline folder selections
- Authentication Tokens
- Temporary access tokens for OneDrive
- Session metadata stored in
%LOCALAPPDATA%\CloudDrivePlayer\
Data Collected via Application Insights
Cloud Drive Player for Windows uses Azure Application Insights to improve app stability and performance:
Application Insights collects:
- Exception reports and stack traces when errors occur
- Device type and operating system version
- App version
- Custom diagnostic events (e.g., sync completion, playback errors)
Application Insights does NOT collect:
- Your personal information (name, email, phone number)
- Your music file names, artists, or albums
- Your listening or viewing history
- Your OneDrive account information or credentials
- Contents of your media files
Data We Do NOT Collect
- We do not collect any personal information about you (name, email, etc.)
- We do not access your media file contents or names via telemetry
- We do not track which tracks you listen to or watch
- We do not access any files outside the folders you explicitly select
- We do not upload your music files or metadata to our servers
Third-Party Services
Cloud Drive Player integrates with third-party services. When you use these services, their privacy policies apply:
Microsoft OneDrive
When you connect to OneDrive:
- You authenticate directly with Microsoft
- We receive a temporary access token to read files from folders you select
- We only access media files in the folders you choose
- Microsoft's Privacy Policy applies: https://privacy.microsoft.com/

Google Drive (Coming Soon)
Google Drive support is planned for a future release. This section will be updated when Google Drive integration becomes available.
Azure Application Insights
Cloud Drive Player uses Application Insights to improve app quality:
What Application Insights Collects:
- Error Reports: Exception details, stack traces, and diagnostic context when errors occur
- Device Information: OS version, app version
- Custom Events: Aggregated usage statistics to understand feature adoption
Purpose:
- Identify and fix errors quickly
- Understand which features are most used
- Improve app performance and stability
Data Retention:
- Application Insights data: 90 days (default)
Third-Party Policy:
How We Use Your Information
All information stored by Cloud Drive Player is used solely to provide you with media playback functionality:
- Media Metadata: To display your library and organize your media
- Playback State: To remember your queue and resume playback
- Settings: To maintain your preferences across app launches
- Authentication Tokens: To stream media from your cloud storage
- Cache: To improve playback performance and enable offline listening
Data Storage and Security

You have full control over your data:
Access and Deletion
- All your data is stored on your device
- You can delete all data by uninstalling the app
- You can sign out to delete cached files and authentication tokens
- You can manually delete app data from

You can revoke access to OneDrive at any time through:
What Happens When You Uninstall
- All local data is deleted (library metadata, settings, cache)
- Your files on OneDrive remain untouched
- Authentication tokens are revoked
Children's Privacy
Cloud Drive Player does not knowingly collect information from children under 13. The app does not contain any age-restricted content or features.
Data Sharing
We share limited data with the following third parties:
Microsoft (Application Insights):
- Error reports and diagnostic events as described above
- Used solely to improve app stability and performance
- No personal information or music data is shared
We do NOT share:
- Your music library or listening history
- Your personal information
- Your cloud storage account details
- Any data with advertisers or marketing companies
International Data Transfers
Since all data is stored locally on your device, there are no international data transfers involved, except:
- Authentication with Microsoft servers (based on your region)
- Streaming media files from your cloud storage (based on your storage location)
- Telemetry data sent to Azure Application Insights (processed in the region configured by the developer)
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by:
- Posting the new Privacy Policy on this website
- Updating the "Last Updated" date
